NELSON LEE TALLMAN
October 10, 1942 – January 26, 2026
Nelson Lee Tallman, 83 of rural Queen City, Missouri, passed away at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The son of Carl Edson and Beulah Maude (Snider) Tallman, he was born on October 10, 1942 in rural Queen City, Missouri. He was a graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. On November 26, 1961 in Lancaster, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Alice Marie Huntsman and to this union three children were born, Cynthia, Teresa and Jeffrey.
Nelson is survived by his wife, Alice of rural Queen City, Missouri; three children, Cindy Tallman of Jefferson City, Missouri, Teresa Tallman and husband, Rick Masock of Kansas City, Missouri and Jeff Tallman and wife, Laci of Glenwood, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Natasha Valerio and fiancé, Carlos, Brittany Leonard and husband, John, Desiree Arnold and husband, Matt, Ross Schmutzler and wife, Brittney, Ethan Schmutzler, Carson Tallman and wife, Paige, Avery Tallman and Kelsey Tallman; 6 great grandchildren; one sister, Ann Trimble and husband, Richard of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, John Trimble and wife, Elizabeth of Mountain Home, Arkansas; nieces, nephews and other family members; numerous great friends and neighbors throughout the area.
Nelson is preceded in death by his parents, Edson on June 9, 2014 and Beulah on November 19, 2008.
Nelson enlisted in the United States Air Force on June 21, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri and received an honorable discharge on June 19,1964 at the Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware. He was employed with the NRCS as a Technician in Schuyler County, Missouri for a number of years. He also was a grain and livestock farmer which he enjoyed.
