CASEY RAY STARRETT

Casey Ray Starrett, 17 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at his home.

The son of Spencer Ray Starrett and Trinity Noelle (Tallman) Sowers, he was born on October 7, 2008 in Memphis, Missouri. Casey attended Schuyler R-1 High School and would graduate with the class of 2027.

Casey is survived by his parents, Spencer Starrett and wife, Amanda of Lancaster, Missouri and Trinity Sowers and husband, Travis of Brunswick, Missouri; brothers, Hayden Williams of Kirksville, Missouri, Jace Miller of Kirksville, Missouri and Vernon and Ivan Sowers of Brunswick, Missouri; grandparents, Dennis and Kathy Starrett of Lancaster, Missouri, Lisa Shepherd of Lancaster, Missouri, Chuck and Candy Tallman of Lancaster, Missouri, Craig and Tammy McIntire of Brunswick, Missouri, Willis and Kandi Harding of LaPlata, Missouri and Jack Huttenstine of Owensville, Missouri; great grandparents, Dorothy Starrett of Queen City, Missouri, Paul Anderson of Queen City, Missouri, Bonnie Sue Kalinka of Dalton, Missouri, Vena Tallman of Lancaster, Missouri, Tony and Barb Huttenstine of Queen City, Missouri and Rose Parmley of Novinger, Missouri; aunts and uncles, cousins and so many great friends.

Casey is preceded by his grandparents, Douglas “Butch” Shepherd and Rick Sowers; great grandparents, Richard Starrett, Charles and Mary Kethe, Eldon Tallman, Doris Anderson, Warner Parmley and one uncle, Clinton Huttenstine.

Casey was a member of the Schuyler FFA, played on the Schuyler R-1 High School football and baseball team, was a Schuyler FCA member and a junior firefighter for the Lancaster Fire and Rescue. Casey enjoyed hunting, fishing, his truck and being outdoors.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Schuyler R-1 High School in Queen City, Missouri with Billy Wallace officiating, assisted by Mark Drummond. Special music selections will be “Revival” and “I Can Only Imagine.” Pallbearers will be Gus Williams, Kole Lindquist, Huck Brown, Cohan Meade, Ace Fugate, Brody Weaver, Kaden Snowbarger and Caden Veatch. Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Brownell, Prestyn Dabney, Brody Bragg, Lathan Martin, Kien Allen and Mason Windy. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Schuyler R-1 High School in Queen City, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Casey Ray Starrett Scholarship Fund. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
