JEFFREY ALLEN REDDING

August 16, 1962 – January 4, 2026

Jeff Redding was born in Kirksville, Missouri and passed away unexpectedly at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 63.

Jeff was blessed with a daughter, Camryn Redding of Phoenix, Arizona. He was the beloved son of Dianna (Ledford) Morgan and Ron of Lancaster, Missouri. His brother Michael (Jane Ann) Redding of Daytona Beach, Florida; brother Yancey Morgan of Paris, Missouri; sister Bree (Jeff) Lawson of Cincinnati, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Orval and Mary Lorene (Hatfield) Ledford of Glenwood, Missouri.

Jeff was the cherished son of Donald and Patti Redding of Santa Clarita, California. His sisters Chevi Redding of Huntington Beach, California, and Audra (Chip) Hauer of Huntington Beach, California, and Elizabeth (Donald) Garland of Black Canyon City, Arizona; brothers Jeffrey (Erica) Weston of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Martin (Judith) Weston of Anthem, Arizona. Jeff grew up attending elementary school in Glenwood, Missouri, and graduated from Davis County High School in Bloomfield, Iowa, in 1981. He later relocated to California, where he worked as a salesman. A carpenter and jack-of-all-trades, Jeff worked in the area near Los Angeles and Burbank. Known for his easygoing, laid-back nature, Jeff earned the affectionate nickname “Uncle Dude” from his nephews—a perfect reflection of his warm, relaxed personality.

In recent years, he moved to North Las Vegas, where he enjoyed semi-retirement alongside his special friend of 22 years, Josie Valdez. Jeff had a tremendous heart and cherished his family. He was also a devoted and lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
