Leona Faye Jones

Leona Faye Jones 87, of Phoenix, AZ passed away Wednesday afternoon ( March 19, 2025 ) in Mocksville, NC where she had been residing since October 2024.
Leona was the daughter of Monerable Arnold Alexander and Ova Lee (Utt) Alexander, born August 14, 1937 in Greentop, MO.
On August 21, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert E. Jones of Queen City. Robert and Leona enjoyed 68 years of marriage together before he went home to be with the Lord.
Surviving are their daughters, Shanna Rotzler of Round Rock, TX and Sharon Vuckovic and husband Mike Vuckovic of Mockersville, NC , three grandchildren, Joshua Springer and wife Emily, Rebekah Springer, and
Ethan Rotzler. Also surviving is a sister Arloa Atkinson and husband Ronnie of Queen City, MO, her sister-in-law Barbara Carpenter of St. Joseph MO, several nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Martin Alexander and wife Anne Alexander and her brother-in-law Tom Carpenter. 
She attended Queen City High School where she graduated with the Class of 1955. Leona graduated from Kirksville College of Cosmetology in 1962. In 1963 Robert and Leona moved to Phoenix, AZ and lived there for 61 years.
