Marty Alfred Gravett, 56, of Glenwood, Missouri, passed away on March 6, 2021, at his home. He was born May 9, 1964, in Bloomfield, Iowa, to Jerry Alfred and Barbara Ann Jackson Gravett. He married Deb Prevo on April 16, 1988, in Bloomfield, they later divorced. Marty has been with his significant other, Kala Fugate, since 2012.

Marty worked, as a union boiler maker for Local 83 in Kansas City, Missouri, for over 15 years. He enjoyed gardening, grilling, and smoking meat, farming, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved to coyote hunt.

He is survived by his two daughters, MacKenzie (Earc) Pilcher of Douds, Iowa and Shelby (Chris McKeehan) Gravett of Tiffin, Iowa; five grandchildren, Tayden, Triten, and Treyce Pilcher, Aaliyah Cremer, Madilynn McKeehan; significant other, Kala Fugate, of Glenwood, Missouri; mother, Barbara Gravett of Bloomfield; three brothers, Gary (Marti) Gravett of Ottumwa, Iowa, Dennis (Janice) Gravett of Glenwood, Missouri, and Kevin Gravett of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Lori Garner.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Sonny Smyser, officiating. The service were live streamed on the Wagler Funeral Home Facebook page. Cremation followed the service, and burial of the cremated remains will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date. Visitation began at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. At the request of the family, please wear a mask for both visitation and service.
