Schuyler County Circuit Clerk’s Office Receives State Funding

Summer Nelson, Schuyler County circuit clerk, applied for and was awarded $12,772.50 in Special Assistance Funding from the state of Missouri to preserve records and increase storage space in the Schuyler County Circuit Clerk’s Office. Nelson said she made the application because “record storage has always been a problem in our courthouse due to space limitations.” Nelson said she was pleased her grant application was selected. The funds will be used to hire a temporary court clerk to preserve older case files that predate the 2016 transition to electronic filing. SHELBINA, Mo. — Schuyler County came away with three district championships Saturday, May 9, at the MSHSAA Class 2 District 3 track and field meet at South Shelby High School. Mason Oliver won the boys long jump with a mark of 6.41 meters, while Deacon Schoonover swept Schuyler County’s throwing titles.
