RUDY GENE BEELER 

July 29, 1947 – November 8, 2024 

Rudy Gene Beeler, 77 of Glenwood, Missouri passed away at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri on Friday, November 8, 2024. 

The son of Robert Eugene and Sarah Isabella (Barnhart) Beeler, he was born on July 29, 1947 in Lancaster, Missouri. Rudy attended Lancaster public school in Lancaster, Missouri. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam Era from which he received an honorable discharge. Rudy was joined in marriage to Tara Poe and to this union one daughter, Tacy was born. 

Survivors include his daughter, Tacy Meighan and husband, Robert of Birmingham, Alabama; two grandsons, Gavin and Blake Meighan; two sisters, Regina Lynn Beeler of Queen City, Missouri and Sue Davenport and husband, Jerold of Moberly, Missouri; one brother, Randy Beeler of Hermitage, Tennessee; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; one uncle, Charles Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri; one aunt, Violet Smoot of Olathe, Kansas; numerous cousins and other family members. 

Rudy is preceded in death by his parents. 

Rudy was employed by the Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa as a maintenance worker in a research lab. After returning to the Lancaster, Missouri area, he was employed by the City of Glenwood in the Water Department for a number of years and also was the maintenance worker for the Lancaster Baptist Church. Rudy was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church and attended as long as his health permitted. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Officiating the services will be Mikel Roberts, of Lancaster, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Music selections will be “How Great Thou Art” and “I Can Only Imagine.” Memorials have been established for Lancaster Baptist Church.
