ALLEN JAMES WILSON 

September 28, 1946 – August 16, 2023 

Allen James Wilson, 76, of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. 

The son of James Ora and Ora Lorena (Allen) Wilson, he was born on September 28, 1946 in rural Greentop, Missouri. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri and later graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. For 27 years, he was married to Judy Croskey. 

Survivors include his children, Jamie Wigton of Kirksville, Missouri, Robin Goin of Buffalo, Missouri, Jeremy Wilson of Kirksville, Missouri and Sheri Croskey-Hawkins of Clovis, California; 8 grandchildren, Liam Wigton of Kirksville, Missouri, Hannah and Ashley Price of Buffalo, Missouri, Zoe Wilson of Kirksville, Missouri, Stephenie Dubois and husband, Jacques of Las Vegas, Nevada, Timothy Hawkins and wife, Maggie of Fresno, California, Joesph Hawkins of Santa Monica, California and David Hawkins of Clovis, California; one uncle, Vernell Wilson of Kirksville, Missouri; one aunt, Evelyn Bragg of Kirksville, Missouri; one sister, Ramona Bowling and fiancé, Roger L. Williams of Livonia, Missouri; one brother, Roger Wilson and wife, Betty of Paris, Missouri; nieces and nephews and other family members. 

Allen is preceded in death by his parents and one brother in infancy, Russell Dale. 

Allen was a Soil Conservation Technician for the USDA for many years. Following that job, he was employed with Toney Bus Company as a school bus driver for 19 years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA which he enjoyed immensely. Allen loved western movies, especially John Wayne. He was very knowledgeable about John Deere tractors and would share his knowledge with anyone that had questions about their tractors. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Glenwood Community Hall in Glenwood, Missouri between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
