JEFFERSON CITY — Schuyler County athletes concluded their season at the 2025 Class 1 MSHSAA State Track and Field Championships this weekend at Adkins Stadium, highlighted by appearances in multiple events across sprint, relay, and field competitions.
Junior Tyson Droste represented the Rams in the boys 400-meter dash preliminaries, finishing in 52.83 seconds, while freshman Mason Oliver also competed in the same event, clocking 55.24.
In relay action, the Schuyler County the 4×200-meter team of Tyson Droste, Isaac Cullers, Danny Priebe and Mason Oliver posted a time of 1:40.03 in the preliminaries. The 4×400-meter relay team of Asher Applegate, Isaac Cullers, Tyson Droste and Mason Oliver finished with a time of 3:38.34, placing 13th in the preliminary round.
In the field, junior Deacon Schoonover threw 12.34 meters (40 feet, 6 inches) in the shot put, placing 14th overall.
While the Rams did not advance to finals in any event, the performances reflect a promising future with several underclassmen gaining valuable state-level experience.
