Schuyler Voters Approve Prop CARE
Schuyler County voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition CARE in Tuesday’s primary election. The issue adjusted the tax levy collected by the school district. Out of 1028 votes cast on the issue, 605 were yes, while 423 voted no, making it a nearly 59-41% approval.
In other local races on the Republican ballot, Anthony Wilson came out on top in the Northern District Commissioner race. Wilson got 260 votes, while Charles Tallman picked up 193 and Doug Small received 23 votes.
In the Southern District, Drew Bruner was the winner. Bruner got 285 votes, and Jeff Lindquist earned 145 votes, while Jeff Jackson got 26 votes.
Joe Wuebker was the big winner in the sheriff primary. Wuebker got 698 votes, while challengers Mark Henderson and Brian Blaise got 192 and 55 votes, respectively.
On the Democrat ballot for Northern Distict Commissioner, both Billie Jackson and Lucas McElhinney tied, receiving 27 votes each.
