Teen Arrested as DWI Suspect After Vehicle Accident

A teen was arrested for allege DWI, after his truck ran off the road, struck a field entrance, and overturned on Route B, about one miles west of Kirksville, Missouri. According to MSHP Tpr. Borgmeyer’s report, the accident occurred at 3:50 a.m., when Christian E. King, 19, of Greentop, Missouri, was in the westbound lane of Route B and lost control of his truck.

King received minor injuries from the accident and sought his own treatment. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time. His 2005 Chevy Silverado was totaled and later towed from the scene.

Shortly afterwards, the MSHP arrested King for allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Adair County jail and later released.

The Adair County sheriff’s office and the county ambulance service assisted Tpr. Borgmeyer in the investigation of the accident.
