Rams Toss No Hit Shutout at Knox Co.

Gage Brownell fired the first five and two thirds innings for Schuyler County (11-2), leading the Rams to a 7-0 Lewis and Clark baseball win over Knox County (1-6) during April 16, 2026 play at Schuyler County.

Gage Brownell struck out 13 Knox County batters along with going 1-3 with a fifth inning RBI single. Cohen Meade was 3-3 for the Rams with a run scored and a run batted in.

The Rams scored seven runs on nine hits as a team. Brody Weaver went 2-4 with a Schuyler County run scored and another batted in. Marcus Miller was 2-3 with two runs scored for the home team.

Knox County (1-6) made several good plays in the field. The Eagles executed in the third inning, cutting down a Schuyler County runner at the plate, keeping the score at 1-0 in favor of Schuyler County at the time.

Cohen Meade scored on an error for the second Ram run in the fourth inning. Schuyler County had most of their run production in the final two frames.

Mason Windy plated Brody Weaver for the first Ram run during the first inning. Cohen Meade put the Rams up 4-0 with a single, scoring Gage Brownell. Caden Veatch pushed a run across by drawing an error for a five run advantage after five complete innings.

Nathan Penn pitched the first four and 2/3 innings for the Eagles. Penn allowed five runs, four earned on eight hits with two walks and one strikeout. Blake Shahan finished up on the Knox County mound.

Blake Shahan tossed an inning and a third allowing two earned runs on one hit. Shahan struck out a batter and walked another.

Schuyler County tacked two insurance runs up during the bottom of the sixth inning. The first run was scored on a Brody Weaver sac fly. The seventh and final run was scored on a balk.

Cohen Meade pitched the final inning and a third for Schuyler County. Meade struck out a KCHS batter to end the game.
