The Schuyler County Commission convened with the following officers and members present: Jeremy Lefler, Presiding Commissioner, Anthony Wilson, Associate Commissioner, Drew Bruner, Associate Commissioner, Lisa Small, County Clerk (absent), Kathy Steen, Deputy Clerk, and Chris Waddle, Road and Bridge Supervisor.
The following business was had to wit:
Presiding Commissioner Jeremy Lefler called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.
Commissioners went to all 3 floors of the courthouse to view water that had came in after the rain and potential damage that was caused.
The agenda and minutes from July 21, 2025, were approved with no additions or corrections. The motion passed 3-0.
Public Comments:
The bills have been reviewed, signed, and distributed.
Chris Feeney with Northeast Regional Planning, Darla Campbell, and John Vandike were in to get final documents signed from Jeremy Lefler for the CDBG Grant for the Schuyler County Nutrition Center.
Junior Buckallew was in to talk to the Commissioners about closing the street on the north and west side of the courthouse Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon closing the east side for Old Settlers.
Chris Waddle, Schuyler County Road & Bridge Supervisor, discussed water damage to county roads after the rain and other road work being done.
Commissioners opened and reviewed a Schuyler County Sunshine Request from Benson Law Firm on behalf of Sheriff Joe Wuebker.
Anthony proposed a motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:59 a.m., and Drew seconded the motion. The motion passed 3-0.
The Commission will reconvene on August 4, 2025.
