Queen City Board Holds Hearings on Wastewater Project, User Charges

QUEEN CITY, Mo. – The Queen City Board of Aldermen held two public hearings April 17 to review environmental considerations and user charges associated with proposed improvements to the city’s wastewater treatment facility.
The board convened at City Hall at 6:45 p.m. Present were Mayor March, Aldermen Brenda Barnes, Louis McBee, Dennis Crabtree and Shane Aldridge. Also attending were Kristy Hallgrimson and Tammy Veach. Guests included Josh Stewart of Benton & Associates, Dale Yearns, Carl McBee, Rebecca Humphrey, Johanna Coombs and Jessica Blackorby.
In the first hearing, Stewart presented on environmental factors related to the wastewater facility upgrades. The session began at 6:45 p.m. and adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
The second hearing began at 7:15 p.m. and focused on proposed user charges for the improvement project. Stewart again led the discussion. That session concluded at 7:36 p.m.
Alderman McBee moved to adjourn the meeting, with a second from Alderman Barnes. The motion passed unanimously, 4-0.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen is scheduled for May 14 at 6:30 p.m.
