GREENTOP, Mo. — The Greentop Board of Aldermen met for its regular session May 1 at 7 p.m., with Mayor Sarah Crawford presiding. Aldermen Rob Small and Keaton Nelson attended in person, while Ashley Robeson joined via video conference.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. The board approved minutes from the previous meeting and the treasurer’s report unanimously.
Luke Erwin and his daughter attended to finalize an agreement allowing the local 4-H club to use the community building for monthly meetings free of charge. They will pay a $50 deposit, which will carry over if the building is cleaned after each use. In exchange, 4-H members will help maintain city parks by weeding and planting flower gardens, among other small tasks.
Resident Dorothy [last name unavailable] reported a large dog from the RV park has been roaming freely and recently bit a child on Washington Street.
Dennis and Joni Pearson requested the city close an alley on their property where they plan to build an additional apartment unit. Officials noted no utilities run through the alley.
Public works employee Mike [last name unavailable] requested funds to purchase more asphalt to continue filling potholes. The board approved the purchase, along with the acquisition of a new computer to replace an outdated system.
In final actions, aldermen approved the monthly bills and voted to adjourn the public session and enter a closed meeting.
