Rear-End Crash in Greentop Sends One to Hospital

GREENTOP, Mo. — A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 63 at Greentop late Saturday morning resulted in one person being transported to the hospital with moderate injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 11:42 a.m. April 20 when a southbound 2018 Ram 1500 pickup, driven by a 23-year-old man from Kirksville, struck the rear of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep, driven by a 60-year-old woman from Greentop, was stopped and waiting to make a left-hand turn.
The woman sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Adair County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Lakeside Towing of Memphis.
The driver of the pickup was wearing a seat belt and was not reported injured. The crash was investigated by Msgt. Gaines of Troop B, with assistance from the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department, Adair County Ambulance and Schuyler County Ambulance.
