The Schuyler County Commission convened with the following officers and members present: Jeremy Lefler, Presiding Commissioner, Anthony Wilson, Associate Commissioner, Drew Bruner, Associate Commissioner, Lisa Small, County Clerk, Kathy Steen, Deputy Clerk, Chris Waddle, Road and Bridge Supervisor, and Joe Wuebker, Sheriff(absent).
The following business was had to wit:
Presiding Commissioner Jeremy Lefler called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.
The agenda and minutes from March 24, 2025, were approved with no additions or corrections. The motion passed 3-0.
Public Comments:
The checks for bills and payroll have been reviewed, signed, and distributed.
Chris Waddle, the Road and Bridge Supervisor, discussed road work with the Commissioners.
Kurt Grogan present.
Justin Landou from Ameren provided the Commissioners an update on the wind turbine blade replacement schedule.
Mowing bids were opened at 10:00 a.m. The bids received were as follows:
Kirksville Lawns (Jon Rider) – $60.00 per mowing
Helmuth’s Premier Lawn Care – $30.00 per mowing
Aeschliman Lawn Service – $65.00 per mowing
Casen Antal – $50.00 per mowing
Anthony made a motion to accept Casen Antal’s bid of $50.00 per mowing, and Drew seconded the motion. The vote results were 3 in favor and 0 against.
Drew proposed a motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:56 p.m., and Anthony seconded the motion. The vote was 3 in favor and 0 opposed.
The Commission will reconvene on April 7, 2025.
