The State FBLA Conference was held April 14-16 in Springfield, MO. We had two students compete at the state level. Jarrett Groseclose placed FIRST in Sales Presentation and advances to the National Conference this summer in Orlando. Carter Hoffmeyer placed FIFTH in Computer Game & Simulation. We are extremely proud of both of them!
Madison Bridgeman (President) – Through out the state leadership conference we got to learn leadership skills and styles. We learned which styles are best to use in certain situations such as command leadership and collaborative leadership. Our group members got to bond with other districts and meet new people. We played games and had good conversations with each new person we met. There were several workshops we attended. One of the workshops taught us how to fill out resumes correctly. This was incredibly helpful! Another workshop taught us about time management. Overall we learned great new skills which we will be using in the future. We’re very proud of our members for qualifying and attending. We had a great experience with the state FBLA conference and cannot wait to attend next year!
Sienna Stewart (Reporter) – Seven of our FBLA members traveled to Springfield, Missouri for the State Leadership Conference. Two of them placed top 10 in their events. Our members also participated in many educational, business-related workshops where they learned leadership skills, organizational skills, and social skills!
