Kyle Windy New Schuyler R-1 Superintendent

After a search and several interviews, Schuyler R-1 High School Principal Kyle Windy was selected, as the new superintendent for the district.

The superintendent’s search was conducted through the Missouri Association of Rural Education by the Schuyler R-1 Board of Education on January 14, 2021. After two evening of interviewing several applicants, the Board of Education selected Windy, as the next superintendent.

During his twenty-three years in the education system, Mr. Windy has filled the position of teacher, coach, and principal.

Currently, Principal Windy can still be seen wearing his coach’s hat, whenever the varsity Rams basketball team is practicing or playing.

Mr. Windy will assume the responsibilities of superintendent July 1, 2021. Until that time, retired La Plata Superintendent Rick Roberts will continue as interim-superintendent for Schuyler R-1.
