Calling All 4-H Members for County Banner Contest
The Schuyler County 4-H Council needs your help! If you have ever attended the Missouri State Fair and visited the 4-H Building, you have seen the beautiful banners, hanging from the ceiling that greet you as you enter the building. These banners were each designed by the county they represent. Schuyler County’s banner was designed by John Western and a copy of it hangs in our Art Hall, during the Junior Livestock Show. With the State’s Bicentennial coming up, each county has been given the task of redesigning their county’s banner.
This is where the 4-H Council needs your help. They are holding a contest for design ideas. The design should be something that represents our county and is timeless. The Council will be accepting submissions from now until August 1, 2020. They will then choose the top designs for members to vote on at the 4-H Recognition this fall. The designer of the winning banner will receive a prize from the 4-H Council.
If you would like more information or have any questions, you can contact Kelli Harris, Schuyler County Youth Program Associate, at (660) 341-9756.
Designs can be submitted by mail to Schuyler County Extension, Attn: Kelli Harris, PO Box 310, Lancaster, MO 63548. You can also email them to harriskel@missouri.edu.
