Tammy Wheeler of Farmers Mutual Communications, has been elected to serve as Board First Vice President of the Iowa Communications Alliance (ICA).
Wheeler was announced as the new ICA Board First Vice President during the ICA Annual Meeting and Expo held in Des Moines on March 25-27 with more than 1,000 in attendance. Wheeler was elected by her peers and has been serving on the ICA Board for the last five years and is involved in ICA committees. Her term as Board Vice President runs until March 2025. Joining Wheeler on the ICA Executive Committee are President Jamie Daubendiek of Jefferson Telecom, Second Vice President Jan Muhl of LNE Communications and Tim Fencl from Danville Telephone as Immediate Past President.
Farmers Mutual Communications is a member owned cooperative located in Moulton, IA and has been expanding their fiber network in Appanoose County with over $13 million in broadband grant funds. Wheeler has been employed by FMC for 18 years and lives in Glenwood with her husband, Charles.
