Mary Esther (Mathes) Greenstreet October 26, 1942 to January 30, 202

Mary Esther (Mathes) Greenstreet, 78, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Kirksville Manor Care Center.

The daughter of the late Rollie Arthur and Thelma Mae (Grissom) Mathes, she was born October 26, 1942, in Kirksville, Missouri. On October 8, 1961, in Kirksville, Mary was united in marriage to Thomas Eugene Greenstreet, who preceded her in death on April 2, 2013. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Leticia Veach, and two brothers, Stephen Mathes, and one in infancy.

Mary is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Kathy Greenstreet of Downing, Missouri; one daughter and son-law, Lisa and Bill Fugate of Lancaster, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jessica Blackorby (Chad), Erica Kempf (Alan), Alyssa Greenstreet, Keeley Greenstreet, and Spencer Greenstreet (Haiden), as well as five great-grandchildren, Madison Blackorby, Carson Blackorby, Mason Bernand, Rory Kempf, and Ivy Greenstreet.

Mary was a graduate from Kirksville Senior High School and resided most of her life in Schuyler County. She was employed several years at McGraw Edison, until going to work for Hollister Inc. in Kirksville, until retiring in 1997.

Mary enjoyed being outdoors, planting flowers, but most of all she loved the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Public visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri, with Pastor Sonny Smyser, officiating.

Pallbearers were Brian Payne, Chris Dabney, Spencer Greenstreet, Carson Blackorby, Mason Bernand, and Chad Blackorby.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be made to the Arni Memorial Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
