Sergeant Thomas R. Rohn of Troop B Retires

Captain Erik A. Gottman, commanding officer of Troop B, announces effective August 1, 2020, Sergeant Thomas R. “Tom” Rohn, retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol after 34 years of dedicated service.

Rohn was appointed to the Patrol on August 1, 1986, as a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 58th Recruit Class. He graduated from the Patrol Academy on January 23, 1987, and was assigned to Troop B, Zone 1, serving the citizens of Macon and Shelby counties. On August 1, 1992, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Troop B, Zone 3, serving the citizens of Chariton and Linn counties. On September 1, 1996, he was promoted to sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Troop B, Zone 5, serving the citizens of Adair and Schuyler counties. It is from this assignment that he is retiring.

Sergeant Rohn is a native of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, and he graduated from Nazareth High School. He holds an associate degree in general studies from Central Texas College, Killeen Texas. Sergeant Rohn is married to Nichole (Salmons). He has two grown children.
