Queen City Board of Aldermen, Special Meeting

May 6, 2020, special meeting minutes
The Queen City Board of Aldermen met at City Hall in Queen City, Missouri.
Present: Mayor March, Aldermen Brenda Barnes, Bill Ford, Becky Douglas and Bill Byrn. Also present were City Clerk Traci L. Walker and Chief of Police Jason Bunch. Guests were Josh Robinson, Austin Slaughter and Barb Huttenstine of the Queen City Fire Department, and Bob Atkinson.
Mayor March called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
Alderman Douglas motioned to approve the agenda as read. Alderman Barnes seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.
Discussion: The Fire Department gave some updates, and new Board members asked some questions. Alderman Barnes motioned to go ahead and pay the Fire Department the back dues that are owed. Alderman Douglas seconded. Motion carried 3-1.
Discussion: Alderman Byrn motioned to go ahead and keep the 20-yard dumpster until the end of the month. Alderman Douglas seconded. Motion carried 4-0.
Discussion: Alderman Ford presented some plans and estimates on pending street work. This information was for the Board to think about, and decisions will be made at a later date.
Discussion: Dogs were on the agenda once again.
Discussion: The City Shed had some spray insulation installed in the south end. There has also been a lot of cleaning and organizing, taking place both inside and out.
As there was no other business to discuss, Alderman Barnes motioned to adjourn the meeting. Alderman Douglas seconded. Motion carried 4-0.
Mayor March adjourned the meeting at 8:54 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled meeting will be May 20, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
