Jessie Norman “Butch” McKim September 17, 1942 to May 16, 2020

Jessie Norman “Butch” McKim, 77, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away at Boone County Hospital early Saturday, May 16, 2020.
He was born on September 17, 1942, in Kirksville, Missouri, to Jesse and Pauline (Fowler) McKim, survived by wife of nearly 58 years, Bertha “Jolene” Martin McKim of Novinger, Missouri; ten children, Lois and husband, Tommy Shoop of Novinger, Missouri, Nancy and husband Danny Reed of Kirksville, Missouri, Debra and husband Glen Jones of Nashville, Tennessee, Ricky and wife Mary McKim of Novinger, Missouri, Karen McKim-March of Edina, Missouri, April McKim of Novinger, Missouri, Kevin McKim and wife Susanna McKim of Novinger, Missouri.
Mark and wife Teri McKim of Lancaster, Missouri, Jeffrey and wife Rose McKim of Novinger, Missouri, Jessica and husband Derek of the home. Thirty-one grandchildren and thirty-seven great grandchildren.
Butch is preceded in death by both parents; four brothers, Billy Shaw, Jack McKim, Rodney McKim, and Ronald McKim; two, sisters, Wanda Foresythe and Carol Rice; two infant grandsons, Timmy Jay McKim and Jesse James West.
Butch was a simple kindhearted family man. He worked for Florsheim Shoe Company, as a cobbler for twenty-five years before retiring. Jessie was a proud father and loved spending time and taking short trips with all of his children. He enjoyed the outdoors, long walks, rock hunting, and crafting with “handpicked” creek rocks, including the letter “M” on the side of his home. Butch was a mellow fellow, who enjoyed a long and happy life.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. at the Green Grove Cemetery north of Novinger, Missouri.
